WHAT IS PIN CODE?

Pin Code is short form for Postal Index Number (PIN). It constitutes of a six digit numerical code primarily used by the Indian Postal Department for easy mapping of any specific locality where a shipment has to be delivered. Pin Code is also known as Zip code or Postal code. It is used to sort and deliver mail and packages to a specific geographic area, such as a street or a building.
